Theme’s give your goals vitality
A goal is nothing more then an idea of how an activity or a action will take place. The theme is the idea in action. Take football for example or soccer as it is called in some of the more stranger part of the world. When football was created the idea was to kick the ball in the back of the net.
The idea or plan to get the ball in the back of the net became the theme. Rule‘s of football, you can use any part of your body apart from your hands to get the ball from one end of the pitch to the other, kicking it was the most effective method, hence the name football my American friends. Anyway Know matter what happens on the pitch the theme remains constant, the ball has to be played from one end of the pitch to the other without picking up the ball or hurting anyone, that’s something my american’s friends need to bear in mind, that being said, Fouls and injuries, streakers and flasher and other interruptions happen from time to time, but there are only momentary Interruptions, The game goes on because the theme remains constant, get the ball at the back of the net!
Key Point’s
- Things don’t always go to plan
- If you find you self off plan or distracted from your goals simply get back on theme
- It helps to remember the theme of your goals
Football the greatest game in the world
Football is a great analogy for living, because life demands that we stay on the ball, Even with our most basic goals. But some time’s there are interruptions on the pitch like the odd flasher or striker – you may momentarily shop and stare at the tits and ass running across the pitch or play your ball off side, or even score an own goal (messed up), you may be stunned to hell at some flasher’s meat and two veg. What ever happen’s you have to remember the goal – the game must go on. You know the theme; is to score goals – by working within the frame work of the rule’s or law and your highest values.
They say just showing up = 80 percent psychological drive, 20 percent mechanics, that mean 80 percent of a goal success is based on our mental theme.
You can think of a goal as theme which is a set of ideas in your minds eye, hopefully it is written down too. You may be aware of it physically as day dreams or random thoughts implus. You may feel it and as a sense that frame’s and colours your awareness. You can appreciate this when you think back to a time when you, was really excited about something it really coloured your awareness, this may have been a wonderful idea that came to mind a new job or the feeling of being on holiday in a new and different environment, this experience became a theme.
Maintaining themes and setting Goals
Over the last 3 weeks or so I’ve been off course with my blogging or better still – off theme. That’s because I did not have my blogging goals in the for fount of my mind – I took my eye off the ball (it was a flasher) I failed to daily check in with my goals and set new goals. Sometime’s we play the ball of pitch – but I’m not going to cry about it, like one of these’s weird football fan – atic’s who burst out crying when their team loser’s, those guy’s need Jesus, if Jesus can’t help personal development is a good idea…
Seven Reiterations to keep on Theme
- The devil make’s work for ideal hand – there are so many fun and important things to do other then what know you should be doing/ working on your long term and short term goals
- Read goals daily
- Set goal daily – this is how you build you theme and keep it in mind
- Work within defined time’s – give yourself a time to accomplish a task and work like and run with your allotted time and like a streaker to accomplish your goals
- Choose today what god you will serve – Every moment of the week/mouth is full of completing themes – choose your dominate theme.
- If you don’t have a plan for your time then someone else does
- Planning ahead is the key and sticking to the plan is the only way to get the ball forward.
and KEEP ON THEME LIKE M.A.D
- What Theme’s do you need to keep on track with, Personally my major theme is to meet my blogging and speaking goals – What’s your Theme – When you’ve got your theme, “RUN” for your goal like a streaker

Hi Lloyd,
In my country we call it soccer. I’m not a soccer fan, but I invite you to visit one day Europe, this “strange” part of the world where soccer is very popular and you will be able to find many fans of this sport.
But I like the metaphor, if we have to make a “goal” in life, we need to do exercises, play in team and keep going in the direction of the “goal” over and over again up until the moment we score. And than we can score over and over again
Thanks for sharing!
Hey Marc Thanks for the invite, but let me tell you something here in the Uk people are football mad. I think the best thing about football is that its a great metaphor for life, for anyone who wants to learn how to score over and over again – one day I will go to main land Europe, its a must
Thanks Marc

I think the two football worlds just like to be special that’s all. But both games are great to play and watch.
Thanks for the word on themes for our goals. There are surely areas of our lives that we all must look after. Hence goals in these areas or themes should be made. But once made, I think you ideas here to keep the goals in front of us is a good start. Keeps the motivation strong and prevents us from straying.
BTW, please check out Justin Mazza’s interview on my blogging series. We all can learn something great from his open concept. Help spread the word man…

Good job Lloyd. This one is very true “If you don’t have a plan for your time then someone else does”
We have to be the controller of our time, or others are always standing by to use it up for us one way or another. Like Bryce i too like the idea of a theme.
As for the football. I enjoy American football, but I do enjoy soccer too.
thank you for the theme of goals and blessing to you Lloyd.
Have a great day.
Debbie

Not sure why we call our version of football, football…it should have been called contactball, or something like that. Football sounds too soft for what American football is. Not soft in a bad way – just in a less aggressive and barbaric way. But I love America Football. I don’t know a thing about soccer…but I’m sure it’s great!
You put together a great post here Lloyd. I like the theme addition to goal setting. Themes help us identify with our goals and our journey. It gives us something to associate with – to help keep us in line with our goal. I love it! Great stuff Lloyd!

Hey Lloyd,
We call it Soccer here and I don’t know why. Why American Football is called Football I have no idea. Oh well.
It really is easy to get off track with our goals if we don’t have a clear vision in place.
I do brainstorming activities and than write down a general outline of what actions I am going to take.
Justin | Mazzastick recently posted..Stability VS Intimacy In Relationships
Hey Justin – I Think american’s think they invented the term, football – they don’t even play with a true ball, its oval, not round – they should call it “American oval ball” – Now that’s a new term
Yes it is easy to get off track – a clear daily vision of what is to be done long term and short help’s – that give’s the mind a consistent theme to focus on – “Brainstorming” that’s something that I could of added – brainstorming is one off if not the best activity to give and keep the mind on theme – thank’s Justine that’s a useful update

Thanks Christie,
I really like this idea of themes. I love how you brought up that goals don’t always go as planned, but if we have our themes, it’s much easier to get back on track.
We know what the end goal looks like. If we drop the ball, we don’t have to freak out and think all is lost. Just get that ball as soon as you can and face the goal one more time.
Thanks for sharing,
Bryce

Hi Bryce, I Like that – If we drop the ball, we don’t have to freak out, yes it not lost. as long as we have the ball (Life) the goal is open. you said it well – Just get that ball as soon as you can and face the goal line.
Thanks for your input Bryce
