Role model of the week. Andrew Carnegie a self made man and a classic example of a rags to rich’s story.<\/p>\n

This week I\u2019ve been doing\u00a0 some research on the life of Andrew Carnegie and his work, after reading\u00a0 the\u00a0 world famous book Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, a must read book for anyone who wishes to learn how to gain greater mastery of their mind and master ones destiny. The focus of the book is financial but the principles taught in all spheres of life. Let\u2019s look at the man who inspired one of the granddaddy of modern personal development.<\/p>\n

A Great Role Model<\/h2>\n

Andrew Carnegie was many things, an industrialist, a visionary, a business leader etc. Personally I am interested in Andrew Carnegie the philanthropists.<\/p>\n

Andrew Carnegie\u00a0came from humble beginnings to becoming one of the richest men in the world and dedicated his retirement years to safely giving away his wealth. He focused his efforts on education, donating money to the building of 3,000 pubic libraries and science institutes. Carnegie also established the Endowment for International Peace in an effort to prevent future wars.<\/p>\n

Anyway the above reasons are why I chose Andrew Carnegie as role model of the week.\u00a0 I would like to share some of Andrew Carnegies words.<\/p>\n

Andrew Carnegie in his words<\/h2>\n

\u201cMan does not live by bread alone<\/em>. I have know millionaires stave form the lack of nutriment, which alone can sustain all that is human in man and I\u2019ve known work man\u00a0 and many so called poor men who revile in luxuries beyond the power of millionaire to reach. It is the mind that makes the body rich. There’s know class so pitifully retched as that which possess money alone and nothing else. Money can only be a useful drudge of things immeasurable than it\u2019s self.<\/p>\n

My aspirations take a higher fight<\/em>. mine be it to contribute\u00a0 to the enlightenment and joys of the mind, to the things of the spirit to, all that tends to bring into lives of the Toilers of Pittsburgh sweetness and light, I hold this the most noblest possible use of wealth.<\/p>\n

I began to learn what poverty was, it was burnt into my heart that my father had to beg for work and then and there I came to the resolve that I would cure that when I got to be a man.<\/p>\n

Success can be attained in any branch of human labour there’s always room at the top<\/em>. In any pursuit concentrate all your thoughts and energy upon the performance of your duties. A sunny disposition is worth more than fortune.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 , that the mind like the body can be moved from the shade into sun shine. As I grow older I pay less attention to what men say I just watch what they do.<\/p>\n

No that man can not become rich without himself enriching others<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He that can not reason is a fool, he who will not, is a bigot, he who dear not, is a slave\u201d.<\/p>\n
